Section 3: Concerning Angels
     A. Concerning Holy Angels
We believe God created an innumerable company of sinless, finite, spiritual beings, known as angels (Hebrews 1:6-7, 14; 12:22; 1 Peter 1:11, 12; Revelation 5:11).   Although they are a higher order of creation than man they are not to be worshiped; but have been created to serve and worship God (Psalm 148:1, 2; Hebrews 1:6-7, 14; 2:6-7; Revelation 5:11, 14; 19:10; 22:9) and Jesus Christ, His Son (Matthew 2:13; 25:31; Luke 2:9-14; 22:43; Revelation 5:6:14). We believe the holy angels of God are sent forth as ministering spirits to watch over the affairs of nations and minister to them who shall be heirs of salvation (Daniel 4:17; 10:21; Luke 15:10; Ephesians 1:21; Hebrews 1:14; Revelation 7:12).
     B. Concerning Fallen Angels
We believe in the existence of Satan as a distinct personality, who was originally created by God as an angel, perfect and holy though finite and creaturely. Through pride and rebellion (1 Timothy 3:7) he fell, becoming the author of sin and incurring the judgment of God (Isaiah 14:12-17; Ezekiel 28:11-19). We believe it was through Satan’s temptation of Adam and Eve that sin was introduced into the human race (Genesis 3:1-15).

We believe Satan is the "god" of this present age (2 Corinthians 4:4), the prince of this world (Eph 2:2), and the declared enemy of God and man (Isaiah 14:13, 14; Matthew 4:1-11; Revelation 12:9, 10) who endeavors to frustrate the divine plan (Genesis 3:4-5; Job 1-2, Matthew 4:1-11), blind the mind of unbelievers to the claims of the gospel (2 Corinthians 4:4), oppose believers (Rev 2:10; 12:10), sow tares among the wheat (Matthew 13:39), and tempt believers to sin (1 Corinthians 7:5). We believe when he fell other angels, now called demons or unclean spirits, (Matthew 25:41; Revelation 12:1-14) fell with him and were cast out of heaven (Matt 25:41; 2 Pet 2:4; Jude 6). We also believe Satan has been defeated through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Romans 16:20); and that Satan shall be eternally punished in the lake of fire (Isaiah 14:12-17; Ezekiel 28:11-19; Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:10).
